“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”  Genesis 2:7

Many assume this statement is about the material Adam was made from, but it can also represent man’s mortality:

“You turn people back to dust, saying, “Return to dust, you mortals.”  Psalm 90:3  Written by Moses.

Thus, without access to the tree of Life, Adam and Eve would have died even if they hadn’t sinned!
