Two kinds of Jubilee

Since the Jubilee starts during the Sabbath year, part of it is in the 49th year and not the fiftieth.

“And you shall count seven weeks of years, seven times seven years, so that the time of the seven weeks of years shall be to you forty-nine years.  Then you shall send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement you shall send abroad the trumpet throughout all your land.  And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants; it shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his family.  A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be to you; in it you shall neither sow, nor reap what grows of itself, nor gather the grapes from the undressed vines.  For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat what it yields out of the field.” Leviticus 25:8-12

The Jubilee is the fiftieth year, yet it starts about half way through the forty-nineth year. This will have implications during the reign of Christ. Christ will reign a thousand years – a Sabbath millennium. Yet the Jubilee millennium will start about half way through this thousand years. The part of the Jubilee that is still in the seventh (49th) millennium will be different for the Jubilee of the 8th (50th) millennium. God is resting all during the 7,000 years since Adam’s fall. This includes Christ’s 1,000 year reign at the end of the 7,000. God cannot start the new creation until the 8,000 years commence. Thus the 470ish years of Jubilee at the back half of Christ’s 1,000 year Sabbath reign will be without new creation. It will be a joyous time of family reunion but without the magic of the new creation elements.
