Witness Protection

One reason many crimes are not exposed is for fear of recrimination. This will change in the glory days of Christ’s Kingdom.

“For He will give His angels orders concerning you,
To protect you in all your ways.
On their hands they will lift you up,
So that you do not strike your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:11-12

“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.  And he took hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.” Revelation 20:1-3

“The cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall provide for the one who commits manslaughter to flee to;” Numbers 35:6

“Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan, then you shall select for yourselves cities to be your cities of refuge, so that the one who commits manslaughter by killing a person unintentionally may flee there.  The cities shall serve you as a refuge from the avenger, so that the one who commits manslaughter does not die until he stands before the congregation for trial.” Numbers 35:9-12

This shows the witness protection plan in action. The congregation will protect the accused until there is a fair trial. This will be carried out in spades during the height of Christ’s Kingdom.

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates.  Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral persons, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.” Revelation 22:14-15

Those that practice immorality in the fulness of Christ’s Kingdom will be prevented from harming the faithful. Forgiveness and repentance will be the order of the day.

“Come to good terms with your accuser quickly, while you are with him on the way to court, so that your accuser will not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will not be thrown into prison.” Matthew 5:25

“For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.” Matthew 7:2

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.” Luke 6:37

Godly instruction will abound.

“Although the Lord has given you bread of deprivation and water of oppression, He, your Teacher, will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will see your Teacher.  Your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” Isaiah 30:20-22
