Luke 6:1

The NIV states: “One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels.”

Nothing odd. But look at Young’s Literal translation:
“And it came to pass, on the second-first sabbath, as he is going through the corn fields, that his disciples were plucking the ears, and were eating, rubbing with the hands,”

The second-first Sabbath?? This tells us what time of year. It was the first Sabbath of the second course of 24 weeks of priestly courses. This started Tishri one. The 24 courses of priestly rotation was set up by David (1 Chronicles 27:1-2). So this Sabbath was between the Feast of Trumpets and Yom Kippur.
