There is a naturally occurring fire in northern Iraq near Kirkuk that has been burning for 4000 years. Some think it is the fire that Nebuchadnezzar threw Shadrach, Mechach, and Abed-nego into. It was also an early major oil supply, first drilled in 1927. Such fires as this and the garbage fires of the Kidron valley are images of the second death. Evidently, there will be much fire at the battle of Armegeddon. That’s why, “John answered and said to them all, “As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Luke 3:16
