Economic forecasting and prophecy are often more complicated than most think.  It is amazing to see plausible, well thought out economic forecasts based on one main factor like interest rates or capacity utilization.  Problem is, there are many other factors at play that often make such simplistic forecasts useless.  The bible is similar.  It might be nice if all we have to do is believe on Jesus and we have instant Paradise.  The Jews fell into this trap 2,000 years ago, and most Christians fall into it today.  It is very enlightening to read why many Jews say Jesus was not the Messiah.  He didn’t fulfill all the prophecies.  Similarly, Christians today don’t appreciate that Jesus will not fulfill all the rest of the prophecies in one day.  It will probably take well over 1,000 years.  Everything will be fulfilled in its time.
