Sanctuary

Most churches have a sanctuary.  It is a place where we are supposed to become more sanctified.  But there’s another process:

Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”  Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.”  1 Corinthians 15:33-34

Ouch!  Paul is saying that some of the believers are fakes!  Sanctification is greatly aided by the company you keep.  Paul also has some very un PC advice:

“I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.”  1 Corinthians 5:11
