Bible Study Seattle

The bible is so full of nuggets and sage wisdom:

“Listen to me, you fat cows
    living in Samaria,
you women who oppress the poor
    and crush the needy,
and who are always calling to your husbands,
    “Bring us another drink!”  Amos 4:1

This was penned around 2,700 years ago, yet it describes the conditions shortly before Israel’s fall.  Women crushing the needy and ordering their husbands around!  No submission and respect there!  No doubt this will be the condition shortly before Christ returns.  Isaiah adds:

“As for My people, children are their oppressors,
And women rule over them.
O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err,”  Isaiah 3:12
And destroy the way of your paths.”

Puts some of the current fashions about women running the world in context.
