“And I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice; and they will become one flock, with one shepherd.” John 10:16
Many Christians have a superiority complex that they are going to heaven and are therefore superior to those who aren’t. How presumptive!
“Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14
If the apostle Paul didn’t think of himself as guaranteed to go to heaven, why should we? But let us remember that heaven and earth will meld in the end:
“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Revelation 21:2
Jesus declared that ultimately there will be one flock under one Shepherd. Jews and Christians will merge as that one flock centuries from today.
