King David’s adultery with Bathsheba and treacherous killing of Urriah was a very great sin in the eyes of The Lord. David paid dearly. But here’s the weird thing: The Lord seemed to give David the desires of his heart anyway. David had five sons by Bathsheba (one died.). And Jesus is descended from two of them! Both Mary and Joseph are descended from Bathsheba! Isn’t that interesting?? Since David had the most sons by Bathsheba, it is reasonable to assume that she was his favorite wife and the one he spent the most time with. How Urriah, Bathsheba, and David will deal with this in the resurrection with be most interesting.
