Dry

If it’s correct that the presence of Jesus will be as the days of Noah, what does the dryness represent?  Just before Noah and family exited the ark to repopulate the earth, it is found dry from the flood.  In other places in the bible, people walk on dry ground to a new beginning.  What exactly that dryness of Noah’s flood represents future seems a mystery.  Will the population be seriously reduced?
