Sabbath Observance?

Every serious Christian should acquaint themselves with Bible Student teaching, but this sermon didn’t sit with me:  https://chicagobible.org/the-sabbath-the-rest-of-the-story/

The essence of the argument is that the priests were exempt from the Sabbath since they had to work on the Sabbath.  But where does it say priests were exempt?  Notice what Jesus says:

At that time Jesus went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them.  When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, “Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”

He answered, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?  He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread—which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests.  Or haven’t you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent? ”  Matthew 12:5

So the priests aren’t exempt, but work, desecrating the Sabbath, yet YHWH commanded them so.  No one is exempt from the Sabbath.  Jesus possibly rose on the Sabbath (he possibly rose on the first day (Sunday).  The scriptures aren’t clear.  That’s another post, but it’s possible that this is foreshadowing the resurrection occuring during the millennial Sabbath and the millennial Jubilee.
