“Then I saw New Jerusalem, that holy city, coming down from God in heaven. It was like a bride dressed in her wedding gown and ready to meet her husband.” Revelation 21:2
“And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,” Revelation 21:10
Is this heaven coming down to meet earth?
“I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.” Revelation 21:1
Heaven is remodeled? Why? I thought heaven was the perfect paradise that saints go to. Why would it need to be changed? Are there problems in heaven?
“‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10
“The one who spoke with me had a gold measuring rod to measure the city, and its gates and its wall. The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal. And he measured its wall, seventy-two yards, according to human measurements, which are also angelic measurements.” Revelation 21:15-17
Angelic measurements? Sounds heavenly, yet human measurements seem earthly. If heaven and earth join in the end, does that mean that everyone eventually ends up in this heaven/earth synthesis?
